Fleetwood Town International Football Academy (FTIFA) took on Town’s Under 18s in a friendly match at Poolfoot Farm on Wednesday afternoon.
On Wednesday afternoon, FTIFA and Fleetwood’s Under 18s went head to head in a match at the club’s training complex, Poolfoot Farm.
With the match played in great spirit – there was plenty of talent on show from the aspiring footballers in the international football academy. Goals were scored from both teams on the day, but it wasn’t about the result.
Michael Horsfall, FTIFA’s Head of Operations, was proud of his side after the match against Simon Wiles’ side and said it was great to see the two parts of the club coming together.
“We thank the academy for giving our players the opportunity to play such a talented group of Under 18 players.
“It was a great exercise and a really good match, played in the right spirit. The FTIFA programme continues to go from strength to strength, and I’m really proud of how the lads are developing both individually and as a group.”
